The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented AI Data Engineer to shape the future of agriculture through data and AI. In this role, you’ll design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, integrate diverse sources (think IoT, farm systems, and more), and enable real-time analytics that support meaningful outcomes for farmers and customers worldwide. With a strong focus on AI, automation, and operational insights, this is a chance to work at the intersection of innovation and impact in a globally recognised team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (Databricks, Apache Spark)
• Integrate data from diverse sources like IoT devices, external APIs, and farm management tools
• Optimise architectures to enable real-time analytics and actionable insights
• Enable AI-powered tools that drive smarter decisions in product development, operations, and customer engagement
• Ensure data governance and quality are baked into everything we do
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects aligned with strategic goals

The Fit

We’re after a hands-on data engineer with solid experience in large-scale data integration, a knack for building smart solutions, and a hunger to keep pushing boundaries in the AgTech space. You’ll be working in a tight-knit team, collaborating with product, strategy, and development to make sure our data solutions not only function - but thrive.

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong technical skills in Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, Python, or Scala
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), plus tools like Snowflake or Redshift
• A good grasp of data governance, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience working with AI, IoT, or automation projects is a huge plus
• A strategic, problem-solving mindset and the ability to translate complex needs into clean, scalable solutions
