The Opportunity

We’re embarking on a number of exciting technology projects across the business and we’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Information Services team to play a key role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams.

This role includes collaborating with departments across our global organisation, you’ll be responsible forgathering, documenting, analysing, and providing traceability of requirements. You also work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure business requirements are managed and projects are delivered successfully.

Key responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Communication - Serve as the key liaison between the Digital Transformation team and the business, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Document and Analyse - Trace and document business requirements while conducting thorough analyses to identify areas for improvement and develop clear functional specifications.
  • Enable Business Growth and Efficiency - Identify opportunities for process optimisation and value-added services to drive business growth, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and industry best practices.

This is a permanent full-time role (40 hours min per week – 45 hours max per week) located in Melville, Hamilton, New Zealand.  The annual remuneration for this role is $90,000 NZD - $110,000 NZD depending on experience. 

 

The Fit

The successful candidate will be committed to innovation, and skilled at identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectivenessIn addition, you’ll also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or a related field OR 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a related role.
  • Demonstratable ability to transfer business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering business requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of overseas markets and business customs.
  • Experience in extensive documentation of business requirements and business process mapping
  • Extensive experience in understanding a variety of complex business use cases in large enterprise environments.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse of complex business problems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
