The Role

Due to an upcoming celebrated retirement, we have an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with our Animal Management and Security business units to understand the demand profiles of their diverse products.
  • Minimize Gallagher’s supply chain costs by balancing customer service expectations with the cost of fulfilling them.
  • Work closely with the Inventory Management team to mitigate risks effectively with redundant stock levels and other inventory strategy parameters.
  • Continually refine forecasting techniques to augment operational efficiency.


The Fit

Strong applicants will comprehensively understand demand planning best practices, and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced growth environment. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analysis, or a relevant field.
  • An advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFDP or CPF) is desirable.
  • 5+ years’ experience in demand planning roles or with time series analysis and modelling.
  • Demonstrated experience using statistical modelling.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with forecasting tools and working in large-scale ERPs (SAP).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
  • Comfortable with Python plus data science and machine learning libraries and APIs.
  • Familiarity with S&OP and IBP processes.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work alongside multiple different business units.
