The Opportunity

Join us as an Engineering Manager, where you will lead and inspire a team of engineers to support manufacturing excellence, successfully execute projects and contribute to the strategic goals of Gallagher. You'll lead a team of diverse engineering expertise, continuously develop engineering capability to meet the business needs, all while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Your role will involve:

• Supporting production operations across a diverse and technically complex manufacturing facility
• Prioritising engineering resources to deliver projects and optimising budget management for successful business outcomes
• Working closely with senior management to develop and implement operations strategies
• Fostering career growth and cultivating a high-performance, collaborative team culture
• You’ll also play a key role in quality assurance, health and safety, and the development of new products

The Fit

To thrive in this role, you'll need a diverse engineering background, proven leadership experience, and excellent project management skills. You’ll bring a focus on continuous improvement and be adept at problem-solving, while effectively leading and collaborating with diverse teams. You will also need:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Proven leadership and project management experience
• A strong technical background with industry-specific software knowledge
• Familiarity with safety and quality standards
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proactive, well-organised, and detail-oriented approach
• Leadership and team management with a focus on continuous improvement
