The Opportunity

In this newly created role, we are looking for a Global Finance & Tax Lead to take a leadership role in overseeing tax compliance, financial reporting, corporate governance.

You will be responsible for managing group tax accounting, providing strategic advice on financial processes, and ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in ESG reporting initiatives and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the global organization.

In this strategic role, you will also take the lead on continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function, guiding the team to enhance processes and support the company’s overall goals.

 

The Fit

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a strong background in tax, financial reporting, and compliance management.

You will be a strategic thinker with experience in NZ and AU tax, transfer pricing and managing corporate governance at a global level. Your expertise in tax governance, financial consolidation, and ERP projects will be essential as you work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Be CA, CPA, or CIMA Qualified
  • Proven experience in managing global tax obligations, financial consolidation, and corporate governance
  • Knowledge and experience in transfer pricing and international tax compliance
  • Ability to lead and coach a team, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on compliance and reporting standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP, MS Office, PowerBI)
  • Experience in a fast-growing, global organization, particularly in manufacturing and sales
