Product Manager - Control Hardware


Gallagher’s Security business is expanding rapidly, securing the people and assets of organisations worldwide.  Our solutions enable automated responses to security events across an organisation, ensuring sites remain secure 24/7.  A key component in these solutions are our Controllers, networked devices which process information from their surroundings and react autonomously to these events.

Due to strong growth in the Security Hardware & High Security product category, we are hiring a Product Manager to manage our Controllers, along with their related powering and enclosure products. 

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager – Hardware & High Security, you will be tasked with management of the Control Hardware product lifecycle.  This will include initial ideation and research of new product concepts, guidance and ownership of new product development through to release, and management of released products through to their eventual obsolescence. 

You will be expected to create business cases backed up by financial analyses to justify new product development, and will be measured against their success or failure.  You will be working with many different people across the organisation to ensure your product category continues to grow profitably, with the opportunity to provide input into the Security business product strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will be the type of person that is motivated to perform, but also adds to a positive and supportive team culture.  You will be capable of juggling multiple streams of work, being skilled at prioritising the best use of your time. You will be comfortable using soft management skills to ensure multiple organisational departments work together to successfully release and maintain products in your category. 

This role is suited for someone with a commercial or technical background with at least 5 years’ experience, ideally with at least 3 year’s product management experience.  You will be able to demonstrate high performance in your previous roles and have confidence in communicating in the English language and presenting to large audiences.  This role requires international travel from time to time, so a non-restricted passport and desire to travel and work with other cultures is a prerequisite.
