About the Role

Are you passionate about technology and electronics? Thunderbird Ag, an Australian-made manufacturer specialising in animal management and livestock weighing systems, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to join our organisation in Mudgee. If you enjoy multitasking and have a knack for repairing electronic boards at the component level, this role could be perfect for you!

What You’ll be Doing

• Production Engineering: Support our production team with the continuous and reliable operation of our machinery at thunderbird including maintenance on our compliance testing and SMD equipment.
• Product Testing: A significant portion of your responsibility will surround the testing and servicing our company's electronic products to ensure they meet our high standards.
• Assisting the Australian and New Zealand product development teams in projects, to provide technical support and leadership.
• Supporting production with providing technical feedback and support to ensure a continuous improvement of our production systems and processes.

Experience & Attributes for Success

• We are looking for someone with previous experience in repairing electronic boards to the component level where you have been able to showcase your technical expertise.
• You will have demonstrated an ability to excel at fault finding and problem-solving.
• You demonstrate excellent communication skills in a way that supports both production roles and development roles being able to support good information and understanding at both levels.  This will include the ability to provide training to new team members.
• You have a high attention to detail and an ability to support computer testing systems, fix any breakdowns and provide support to production teams.
• You have the ability to support the improvement of production and product performance.
