The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Instructional Designer to develop and implement new learning frameworks and make a significant impact on the learning journey of Gallagher Security’s partners and customers.  Working in the Training Solutions team as part of the Security Solution Delivery, you’ll be applying design theories and methods to create compelling learning activities and course content.  You’ll be conducting instructional research, developing assessment instruments, and maintaining project documentation for effective course development.

Working closely with Gallagher’s global Security team, you’ll also play a key role in guiding and supporting the development of Gallagher Security’s training platforms.

 

The Fit

To be successful in this role, you’ll have proven experience as an Instructional Designer, or you could be coming from a Learning & Development role.  Either way, you’ll have a strong understanding of Instructional Design/Learning Design principles and will be able to demonstrate your skills with an impressive portfolio of articles or instructional materials.  Your collaborative approach will allow you to easily engage with subject matter experts to understand and analyse learning needs, as well as work with cross-functional teams to enable end to end delivery for training solutions.  In addition, you’ll also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred).
  • The ability to apply instructional design principles and concepts to develop and implement learning frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with content creations tools, such as Articulate 360 or similar.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working principles.
  • The ability to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders through maintaining a high degree of trust and integrity.
  • The ability to promote and influence learning best principles and learning frameworks with learning solution creators.
