The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Senior Software Engineer to join the team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a leading role in developing and enhancing our industry leading security solutions.

You will provide first class technical expertise for enterprise sites with complex security requirements. You will also perform technical assessments, identify and implement mitigation measures and enhance the cybersecurity resilience of our solutions. 

You will be an important part of our Services Value stream engaging with experts across multiple domains within Gallagher Security. Our ideal candidate will also be experienced in mentoring other team members, and setting precedents for others to follow, to grow the capability of the entire team.

This is a permanent full-time role (40 hours min per week – 50 hours max per week) located in Melville, Hamilton, New Zealand.  The annual remuneration for this role is $100,000 NZD - $135,000 NZD depending on experience. To thrive in this role, you will:

• Have a relevant tertiary qualification.
  
• Have 5 years demonstrated experience in commercial development.
  
• Be Proficient in C++ (specifically Win32, ATL, STL, understanding exceptions).
  
• Be Proficient in C# (specifically WPF, generics, .NET4).
  
• Be proficient in cloud & web skills sets. 
  
• Be Experience in SQL Server development.
  
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change frequently. 
  
• Have excellent problem-solving skills enabling you to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
