Software Team Leader


A great opportunity for a talented software practitioner to take their next step into a leadership / management role.

We are looking for a Software Team Leader to join our Research & Development department and oversee the development efforts of the software delivery team. We are looking for someone who is passionate, with a strong focus on quality and delivery.

Whilst being responsible for the supervision, mentoring and performance management of the software staff in your team, you will have excellent problem-solving skills enabling you to identify and resolve issues as they arise. You will be adaptable and experienced in working in a fast-changing environment with priorities changing frequently. You will have the ability to positively influence others and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results with your mentoring and supervision skills.

In addition to your team leadership responsibilities, you will “do-the-do”, fulfilling a role such as a developer or tester in the team, depending on your skills.

You need to have a relevant tertiary degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in senior software development role. You will also need to be able to demonstrate concise written and verbal skills in English.

The successful candidate is required to have extensive knowledge in the following areas:

  •  Proven leadership and mentoring skills
  •  Leadership experience in an agile development team
  •  For candidates from a development background, experience with C++ and embedded systems is highly desirable
