The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Store Person to join our Logistics and Distribution team here in Hamilton permanently, reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. 

We are looking for a skilled Store Person with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Stores/Distribution within a Lean Manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various aspects of store management, including receiving and storage of goods, inventory control, order fulfilment, and requisition processing.

This role will be fast paced where some of the day-to-day activities include managing the receiving and storage of goods ensuring accuracy and efficiency, performing inventory control activities such as put aways, traditional picks, bulk picks, and flexi line checks, helping to facilitate a Kanban system to optimize inventory levels, processing requisitions and ensuring timely order fulfilment, managing requirements through MRP, liaising between customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve order issues tactically, utilizing SAP and Power BI for generating reports, vendor forecasts, and improving operational efficiency and preparing export documentation and coordinating with freight partners.


To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years Stores/Distribution experience within a Lean Manufacturing environment, including:
    • receiving and storage of goods,
    • inventory control - Putaways, Traditional picks, Bulk picks, Flexi line checks,
    • facilitating a Kanban system,
    • order fulfilment,
    • Requisition processing,
  • A current F class endorsement, valid OSH certificate L5, Counterbalance forklift license L3, Bendi forklift licence L5, Wave licence for pick/pack replenishment at height,
  • Proven experience managing requirements through MRP,
  • Proven advanced experience and skills using:
    • SAP,
    • Power BI for generating reports, generating vendor forecasts, and improving operational efficiency,
  • History of preparing relevant export documentation and work with freight partners,
  • Must meet immigration requirements for English language,
  • Experience training and mentoring new and existing staff,
  • A related qualification in Operations and Production Management – at least Diploma level.
